Carroll Ditteaux-About

Carroll Relihan Ditteaux

July 13, 1941 – March 19, 2011

My mom, Carroll Ditteaux, enjoyed bowling her entire adult life.  She began bowling in the 1960’s, as a  young officer’s wife stationed overseas. When we moved to Virginia in 1974, she continued to be active in bowling leagues. I have very fond memories joining her at the lanes, learning how to keep score, and being awed at how talented she was at the sport. She was active in several leagues at Pinboy’s at the Beach, where she won Bowler of the Year in 2004 and Senior Bowler of the Year in 2008, among other accomplishments.

As a way to honor her memory, I am delighted that Virginia Beach Youth Bowling, Inc. and Pinboy’s are partnering with us to establish a Memorial Scholarship Tournament in her name. Combining Carroll’s love of bowling and her continuous zest for furthering education is a dream come true for me. I think mom would appreciate that the many hours we shared here are now treasured memories that we hope will inspire you along your journeys.
